IBWA and NAMA 2012 Conferences – Same Date and Same Location

For Immediate Release
June 4, 2012

Alexandria, VA – The International Bottled Water Association (IBWA) and the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) announced today that they will conduct two of their conferences over the same dates and at the same location.  The 2012 IBWA Annual Business Conference and Tabletop Trade Show will be held on November 12-16, and the 2012 NAMA CoffeeTea&Water event will be held November 13-15.  Both conferences will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana.

“Many bottled water companies, particularly those in the home and office delivery (HOD) business, also offer coffee and tea to their customers. Co-locating the IBWA and NAMA conferences will enable attendees and exhibitors to achieve a greater return on their investment by providing expanded educational programing, exposure to a broader range of products and services, and increased networking opportunities,” says IBWA President and CEO Joe Doss.

IBWA and NAMA educational seminars, business sessions, and networking events will be held throughout the meeting dates, and the combined IBWA and NAMA trade show will be held on Wednesday, November 14. For information on registering to attend or exhibit at the IBWA Annual Business Conference and Tabletop Trade Show, please visit www.bottledwater.org/events, or contact Michele Campbell at mcampbell@bottledwater.org; 703-647-4606.

The International Bottled Water Association (IBWA) is the authoritative source of information about all types of bottled waters.  Founded in 1958, IBWA's membership includes U.S. and international bottlers, distributors and suppliers.  IBWA is committed to working with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which regulates bottled water as a packaged food product, and state governments to set stringent standards for safe, high quality bottled water products.

In addition to FDA and state regulations, the Association requires member bottlers to adhere to the IBWA Bottled Water Code of Practice, which mandates additional standards and practices that in some cases are more stringent than federal and state regulations.  A key feature of the IBWA Bottled Water Code of Practice is an annual plant inspection by an independent, third party organization.  Consumers can contact IBWA at 1-800-WATER-11 or log onto IBWA's web site (www.bottledwater.org) for more information about bottled water and a list of members' brands.  Media inquiries can be directed to IBWA Vice President of Communications Chris Hogan at 703-647-4609 or chogan@bottledwater.org.

The National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) is the trade association serving the vending, coffee service and foodservice management industries.
