IBWA/NAMA Welcome Reception - Cherry Blossom Ballroom

IBWA and NAMA registrants will come together for a welcome reception to kick off the week and this collaborative co-location. The reception will be held in the Cherry Blossom Ballroom at the Gaylord National Hotel to provide a convenient and relaxing event for attendees to network with peers, catch up with old friends, and enjoy an evening of hors d’oeuvres and an open cash bar.

Admittance to the Welcome Reception is included in the conference registration fee. If you would like to bring a guest to this event, you can order an additional ticket for $40.

Drinking Water Research Foundation (DWRF) Fundraiser at Bobby McKey’s Dueling Piano Bar
Monday, November 2, 2015 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm 

The Drinking Water Research Foundation (DWRF) Fundraiser will be held at Bobby McKey’s Dueling Piano Bar, just a short walk from the Gaylord National Harbor Hotel. As the only dueling piano bar in the Washington, DC, area, this venue offers a unique entertainment experience where two to four piano players work as teams taking song requests for crowd sing-a-longs. Ticket cost includes the following: entrance fee to Bobby McKey’s to enjoy the dueling piano entertainment, delicious cuisine, and one drink ticket for an alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverage. Attendees will enjoy live music, good company, plenty of laughs—and an entertainment experience unlike any other. DWRF fundraiser tickets may sell out, so register now. Ticketed event: $150 per person entry fee, $75 is tax deductible.

When you attend a DWRF fundraiser event, you help fund healthy hydration research, public education campaigns, and advocacy efforts - all of which are related to reliable and safe drinking water accessibility and impact the bottled water industry. WIN Fun Run/Walk Event - National Harbor

Women of the Industry – NAMA (WIN) is comprised of women who have set a mission to promote leadership by empowering women professionals of the vending and refreshment services industry through education and networking.

WIN is proud to present the first WIN Fun Run/Walk! WIN believes in awareness of health in our industries. A percentage of the proceeds from this event will go towards the NAMA Foundation to benefit the FitPick® program. This is the first year WIN has endeavored to a do a Walk/Run and is eager to share this great opportunity with the NAMA, CTW and IBWA community. Walkers, Runners and Volunteers are welcome!

Please register by October 15 to ensure a T-shirt, then while supplies last on race day.  The race begins and ends at the Gaylord National Hotel. Come join us for a great fun-filled event!

IBWA General Session and Annual Business Meeting with Keynote Speaker: Trevor Butterworth
Wednesday, November 4, 2015 8:30 am – 10:45 am

The “President’s Report”, delivered by Joe Doss,  IBWA President and CEO will highlight the year’s achievements, the present state of the Association, and what’s in store for the future.

IBWA Chairman Bryan Shinn, Shinn Spring Water Company will preside over the IBWA Annual Business Meeting.  IBWA members will also select new members and officers to the Board of Directors.

Trevor Butterworth, Director of Sense About Science, USA will deliver the keynote address. Mr. Butterworth is a journalist who covers science in the media, and how studies are often viewed as controversial which can lead to negative and often false coverage. BPA is one of the examples he will discuss.

IBWA presents another memorable moment at the General Session with the “Passing of the Gavel” ceremony, which honors the leadership, time and commitment of 2015 Chairman Bryan Shinn, and formally introduces the incoming 2016 Chairman to the IBWA membership.
