HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS
The MGM Grand Hotel will serve as the headquarters location for all meetings and events related to the 2011 IBWA Annual Business Conference. It is located a short distance from the Las Vegas Convention Center via PACK EXPO shuttle buses, the Las Vegas Monorail, or taxi. Located in the heart of Las Vegas, the MGM Grand provides a world of entertainment, dining, and unwinding – both day and night. With more than a dozen restaurants, multiple pools in lush settings, luxurious spa facilities, theaters, and 170,000 square feet of gaming, it will take more than one visit to experience it all.
- Room Rate: $89 single or double + 12% occupancy tax ($99.68 total per night)
- Friday and Saturday Rate: $139 (book early to avoid rate increase to $199)
- The reservation cut-off date is Friday, August 26, 2011.
- Available rooms are limited, and may sell out prior to the cut-off date, so make your reservations today!
- If you make reservations and then decide not to use them, please release them immediately to make them available for other attendees.
HOTEL RESERVATIONS
To make reservations at the MGM Grand Hotel and receive the IBWA Conference group rate:
- Do not call the hotel directly or make reservations on the MGM Grand web site.
- Do reserve online Click Here and select IBWA as the demographic.
- Do call Expovision, the housing reservation service that is managing the room block. They can be reached at 866-523-0877, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm EST. Identify yourself as an attendee of the IBWA Conference.
Thank you for booking your reservation within the IBWA group room block as it enables the Association to receive the benefit of complimentary meeting space and helps prevent IBWA from being assessed penalties for not meeting our room block guarantee.

Las Vegas Monorail:
Covers a four mile route connecting the MGM Grand to multiple properties (including the Las Vegas Convention Center, 9 minutes away) from 7 am – 2 am on Monday-Thursday and 7 am – 3 am on Friday – Sunday.
Shuttle Buses:
PACK EXPO will run shuttle buses from the MGM Grand to the Las Vegas Convention Center on Monday, September 26 – Wednesday, September 28, 2011.
TRAVEL INFORMATION
AIR TRAVEL
Las Vegas provides accessible and economical flights from all major U.S. and international destinations. McCarran International Airport, only 10-15 minutes from the MGM Grand Hotel, services all the major airlines.
GROUND TRANSPORTATION/HOTEL CHECK-IN AT THE AIRPORT
The MGM Grand offers hotel check-in services at McCarran Airport at the MGM Airport Registration Desk located in the south baggage claim area, near the bottom of the escalators descending from the C and D gates and next to carousel # 1 and 2. Hours of operation are 9:00 am – 11:00 pm. Shuttle service is also offered at $6.00 one-way and is operated by Executive Shuttles (702-646-4661). Hours of operation are 10:00 am – 6:00 pm but are subject to change.
Additional information about shuttle services, taxis ($17 one-way), limos, and car rental agencies located at the McCarran International Airport can be researched at www.mccarran.com.
WEATHER
Las Vegas averages 320 days of sunshine per year, an average temperature of 66.3 degrees Fahrenheit, annual rainfall of 4.13 inches, and humidity around 29 percent. In September, the average high temperature is 81 and the low is 54.
ATTIRE
Be comfortable in business casual attire, and good walking shoes. The air conditioning is running year-round and may at times be cool in public areas of the hotel and in the meeting rooms. We suggest you bring a sweater, jacket, or wrap as a “just in case” for the times you find yourself in those locations.
