Economic Impact Methodology

The International Bottled Water Association Economic Impact Study estimates the economic contributions made by the bottled water industry to the U.S. economy in 2011. John Dunham and Associates conducted this research, which was funded by the International Bottled Water Association (IBWA). This work used standard econometric models first developed by the U.S. Forest Service, and now maintained by the Minnesota IMPLAN Group. Data came from industry sources, government publications and Dun and Bradstreet, Inc.
